HOPE Artists
In May I traveled to Nairobi, Kenya with HOPE to bring our artistic abilities and knowledge to the locals; to share with them, and work with them (see below).
Step 1:
Fellow HOPE Artist Renee Wilson wrote a song inspired by our travels called, "Change the World," which she taught to the GOAL School Kids of Mukura, Kenya as part of a singing class.
Fortunately, our camera crew captured enough quality audio of the kids singing that I was inspired to build a beat around it.
Step 2:
We took the beat into the recording studio at The Go Down Art Center with Kenya's biggest and brightest emcee Juliani, as well as his new protege Franco, who he met at the GOAL School. We then tracked a verse by each of them, as well as Renee's vocals.
Once I returned home, I gathered all the different parts we recorded in Kenya and invited my resident studio genius Kristian Riley over to help me turn it all into this beautiful song.
With all that said, I am now happy to share this global collaboration with the world.
Please listen to and download the song. A minimum donation price of 60 cents has been set, and all the money goes to the HOPE Campaign (minus 10 cents to PayPal).

HOPE Mix
A couple months ago I went to Nairobi, Kenya with the HOPE Campaign. Urb Magazine was kind enough to publish my tour diary in the new issue, and with all that love, I hooked them up with this mix inspired by my travels.
Thank you Josh and Raymond at Urb, and Kelly Hibbert at Elysian Masters for the mastering job.
Enjoy!

HOPE Visit
On May 22nd I headed to Nairobi, Kenya with HOPE for the experience of a lifetime. We were there to bring our artistic abilities and knowledge to the locals, share with them, and work with them. As part of the trip I DJed at the Sawa Sawa Festival, participated in interviews, taught kids about DJing and how to use Serato, as well as recorded music with Kenya's biggest hip hop emcee.
In addition to donating my energy and time, I am offering an advance download from my upcoming album, The Maestro (out in July), to benefit the HOPE Campaign.
The song is called "Work It Out," and it is very fitting to my journey, and is one of my favorites on the album:
The donation price is set at a minimum of 60 cents and all the money goes to the HOPE Campaign (minus 10 cents to PayPal).
Please download it, enjoy it, and know that all the proceeds will go to incredible projects for the advancement of the arts in Kenya.
Thank you for your support,
